BIM Consultant

Summit BIM Consulting empowers owner-operators, as well as contractors and design team consultants, to generate structured building data that works for them. We establish digital processes that mitigate risk, unleash the power of a BIM process, and ultimately support the transfer of data to support Facilities Maintenance and Operations.

We are currently looking for a BIM Consultant to provide BIM support to our senior team members in Vancouver. You will play a key role in our success as an innovative, forward-thinking firm. We expect your level of responsibility to grow rapidly as you learn with us.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with senior BIM consultants, design consultants, owners and internal team members on project progress, audits, data transfer and standards development requirements;
  • Undertake general management tasks related to key software, including OneDrive, BIM 360 and our own Cloud interface;
  • Support delivery assurance practices by participating in periodic project reviews and audits, as well as maintaining accurate project reporting;
  • Provide feedback and testing on software;
  • Participate as required in industry meetings and events;
  • Other administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A technical degree or diploma in a related field; coupled with relevant experience in the AEC industry (M&E and/or Commissioning experience an asset).
  • Technical proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks or a Facilities Maintenance system an asset.
  • Solid understanding of the AEC project delivery process.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient writer, project manager, and problem solver with an exceptional eye for detail.
