Phase I – Identify
Summit BIM worked with the team at Bruce Power to create an implementation plan to transfer the delivery and operation of capital projects from a paper-based to a digital-based process.
Summit BIM brought the stakeholders together in a series of workshops to establish requirements. Key goals identified by the stakeholders were:
- That the new processes and protocols merge with and allow for the simplification of existing complex workflows;
- Improve the efficiency, accuracy, and access to information for diverse teams;
- The all stakeholders have access to the same, reliable information.
The final deliverable was a comprehensive specification defining digital requirements for the delivery of capital projects.
Phase II – Manage
Following on the work to develop a set of BIM requirements, Summit BIM helped manage compliance to the standards in a pilot Lab Project.
Summit BIM checked that the required processes and protocols were being followed and that the data could support the required uses. Undertaking compliance reviews, we worked with the design team and Bruce Power to ensure robust data was generated.
