The City of Nanaimo engaged Summit BIM to uncover existing challenges and opportunities through targeted surveys and workshops involving various stakeholder groups, pinpointing inefficiencies, duplicated effort, as well as process gaps and missing required information.
With these insights, we are developing a tailored set of BIM Requirements for the City, aligned with the ISO 19650 framework, the goal being to ensure the generation of consistent, reliable data that supports downstream uses and long‑term digital value for capital projects.
Outcome: Robust, structured information, data and documents, ready to flow directly into the City’s Facility Management system, thereby reducing risk and improving quality overall.
