Maximize the potential of BIM on the project by capturing asset information in a consistent, digital format for use throughout the facility’s life cycle.

Over the past several years, the Fraser Health Authority has taken a new approach to dealing with asset information generated during Hospital Redevelopment Projects. Summit BIM has been a key part of that process.
Summit BIM joined the Fraser Health team again as a BIM consultant for the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment. This is a multi-year, multi-phased capital project which will give people in the growing community faster access to better health care. At over $1.3 billion, one of the province’s largest-ever health care investments, the redevelopment will impact every part of the existing hospital campus.
Summit BIM will assist Fraser Health in maximizing the potential of BIM on the project by capturing asset information in a consistent, digital format for use throughout the facility’s life cycle.
The team will work closely with Fraser Health to develop a strategic plan for the project, prepare BIM requirements, and assist the Burnaby Hospital team during the RFP process and throughout the project to capture the required asset information at the right time and in the right format.
The Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Project
The Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment is a multi-year, multi-phased capital project which will give people in the growing community faster access to better health care. At over $1.3 billion, one of the province’s largest-ever health care investments, the redevelopment will impact every part of the existing hospital campus. It will add two new patient-care towers with new wards and operating rooms, a total of almost 400 beds (the majority in single rooms), an expanded emergency department and a new cancer treatment centre.
