Develop BIM Specifications for YVR capital projects.
Featured projectHow we help our clients
Summit BIM was retained, in 2015, to help develop a BIM Specification for the delivery of YVR capital projects.
The goals for the switch to a digital process focused on visualization, supporting improved understanding and consistent documentation, this leading, in turn, to reduced risk, enhanced collaboration and informed decision making.
Over the years, the expectations and digital requirements have grown in strength and, based on lessons learned and feedback, the initial BIM Specification has evolved to the current Version 3.
Having worked with YVR, since 2015, to establish and update their BIM Requirements, Summit BIM was retained to provide services, on the DTB 123 Phase 1, ITD-SPIL, and CORE Project , to ensure that the required processes and protocols are being adhered to and that the data being generated meets the quality required to achieve the established use cases.
The focus of the compliance audits is around ensuring that the data is structured to meet the goals and is consistent across all models. Issue tracking sheets are generated and maintained to ensure that issues are resolved.
Of specific interest to YVR, is the ability to associated additional data and documents to the instances of tracked assets for onward migration directly into Maximo.
